Its roots dating back to the 15th century and located on Damrak, in the heart of Amsterdam, Hotel Amsterdam opened in 1911 and is one of the few remaining privately-owned hotels in the city.
The 79 rooms of this first-class hotel are elegantly appointed and offer all modern amenities.
Complimentary coffee- and tea-making facilities are available, as well as a minibar. For your safety your room has a smoke detector and an electronic safe.
Our LCD television set allows you to access television programs in many languages and to view digital quality movies or listen to a large selection of stereo music CDs. It also allows you to view your bill and to place wake-up calls. Free limited bandwidth WiFi & wired internet access are available in every room. Higher bandwidths are available at a reasonable surcharge.
Please note that smoking is prohibited by law within our premises. We do have a limited amount of Smoking Comfort rooms available at a nightly surcharge of € 15.00. Pets are not allowed at our hotel.

Although Budget single rooms are less spacious than our other room types, they do offer the same amenities (described above) and are the perfect choice for the cost conscious single traveler.

Smoking Comfort rooms
Impossible to find a smoking room in Amsterdam nowadays ? Look no further, because we still have a limited number of them. Of course these Comfort rooms offer exactly the same amenities as our regular Comfort rooms, the big difference being that at a small surcharge you can still smoke in your room.

Superior rooms
Non smoking Superior rooms, all of which feature a small sitting area, are larger than our Comfort rooms offering more space to relax in after a hard day's work or a day spent exploring Amsterdam. Bathrooms contain a full-length bath.
